Not often Discovery Wings serves up three shows of interest to me back to back.
Tonight I’ve just watched a nice little Concorde film, a smashing one hour retro documentary about the rise of British civil aviation and followed off with another hour’s worth of footage featuring the restoration of a Super Connie which is now in Austrailia in Qantas period colours.
All recorded onto DVD for the archive ! 😀
Still showing tonight til late for UK Discovery subscribers

Qantas in their infinite wisdom allowed John Travolta to apply the full Qantas livery of the time to his 707-138, but refused the Historical Aircraft Restoration society permission to apply the full scheme to their aircraft, hence the name Connie instead of Qantas
on the fuselage
