MYT Delays at NCL

Struggling to get more information at the moment, but it looks as if there are/were some severe delays on a MYT Newcastle flight yesterday.

The latest I can tell you is the MYT1804 from Malta, due to land at midnight still has an indefinite delay against it. Equally, the MYT876 from Palma, due to land at 14.00 this afternoon has also now got a lengthy delay.

Can anyone shed any light as to the reasons behind this?

I had heard the MYT were supposed to be using 2 aircraft this year and it didn’t happen.

More good news for LBA though. 🙂

That would be great if we had a 320 and a 752 at LBA. With Britannia basing a 762 at LBA for some time next year LBA would be on the up even more.
The only new route I know of is Gerona which Britannia dropped either last year or the year before?

wouldn’t surprise me – and would be an excellent move – but at the risk of loosing some of our foreign visitors – Transavia, Europa, Spanair, Iberworld etc. Hopefully some new routes too!

Yeah its PIDS at the moment but dont know how long for though ? Also heard a rumor yesterday that next summer an A320 will be based at LBA as well as the B757 ? Have to wait and see.

LBARULES thanks for that post as most people would see it as as a good thing landing early. However you would be amazed at the amount of people who complain about it ? For example:my taxi is not boooked for another half hr what am i going to do ? Whatever we do as a Airline someone is going to be upset ? The old saying “you cant do wrong for doing right”

Dont know anything about these delays but ive just got back from operating a 16 hr RHO.Not very nice. The aircraft came in from FUE with a big hole inside the engine just under the fan blades.Cause unknown ? So when then had to bus over to MAN and wait for another 757 to come in from REU before we could even set off to RHO.Made for one very long night for both us and the pax.Around 5 hrs delayed in the end.

Monarch are operating the MYT flight to and from Palma today.

B757-200 G-MONK is operating LGW/p-NCL-PMI-NCL/p-MAN.

Crew were called from stand-by and the flight departed LGW at 1420 GMT (1520 local).

Glad I’m not on any of those flights. Perhaps good old SOFTLAD can explain it to us.

How would people on flights which are delayed by 12 hours or more be compensated?
