Just another day up Heathrow airport, the usual 2 hour train journey for here at STN and a little bit of walking to watch the planes for the rest of the day. The planes were on 9L again today, making it slightly more difficult as it meant having to get a bus round to the other side of the airport to get under the approach. However, I didn’t mind because it gave me time to walk past all the BA maintenance hangars and catch a glimpse of all the aircraft parked there, including the SAA 747 ‘ndizani’.
Quite a good day (aircraft wise) including several BizJets and a couple of other unusual ones, but, like always, something had to go wrong. This time, unlike last, it was nothing to do with London transport. The problem was however that when I arrived back at my home town station, I found that my brand new bike which was bought for my birthday had been stolen:mad: It did not only make me angry but the fact that it was my birthday present made me upset, some theives mangaed to cut through the lock and steal my cousins brand new bike in the process, what is the world coming to…………..
This was only my 2nd time with my new camera, but note that none of these photos are cropped so they seem to have got slightly better since last time (most are central in the frame), i still have a lot of working yet to get them to some other people’s standards, but i think they are coming along just nicely.
Please see the spotting competition for the list of what I saw today.

Oh right thanks for pointing that out Interflug. I have checked the normal Heathrow movements page for any sight of a Biman Dc-10 I saw, to find out the reg but I cant find it. Does anyone know of any other ‘movements’ websites?

You’re too hard on yourself!….These are great pics, love the Air India 747, I have just added a 1/72 scale model of one to my collection. I think that the Lufthansa is in fact an A300-600? I think that I actually flew LHR-FRA on that beauty. Hope you get some justice on the bike situation.

Thanks for that reg Dave:D I wish some airlines (like Air France and Egypt Air) would put the registrations a bit lower down, they are almost impossible to see if you are looking up at them if they are on approach.
