Maybe the idea is that if you are sick over the upholstery, it’ll blend in with the yellow, and they wouldn’t have to waste time cleaning the cabin before the next flight… bearing in mind they’ll only have about 20 minutes turn around time… :rolleyes: 😉

You do realise that you may just have given airlines an idea. Seal off one toilet, add a seat belt, PTV and some nice decor and you have the world’s first private, multi-functional first class seat. I’m sure the idea will ‘take-off’. How do we patent it?

Just think an airliner full of cubicles, we could call it WC Air, or, for inclusive tours, BOG OFF! The possibilities are endless.

To be honest these pictures show the worst aspect of the new interiors. I travelled back from Dublin to Gatwick a few weeks back on an aircraft that had been refitted and I was quite presently suprised. The seats themselves are dark navy leather and very comfortable, it didn’t look as bad as it does in the pictures.

Having said that the yellow is still very much present and it won’t let you forget it 😀

The cabin looks awful.

The cabin looks awful, very cheap but then that’s FR!!!!! Having said that it does look like a good way to get the pax to read the safety instructions. You will always get the w*****s though who think they know it all!

Some people do take the safety cards (along with a lot of other things too!) but on BA aircraft the cabin is checked during the aircraft turnaround and the contents of the seat pockets replaced if needed.

I heard that a mere 5% of passengers watch the entire safety demonstration when flying. That’s dreadful. They may know it all already, but by having this safety card right in front, passengers have to absorb the information on it, whether they like it or not.

Although it doesent look brilliant I think that it will really drill the safety procedures in the passengers minds as they wont really have anything else to look at. Also because they wont have to keep reprinting safety cards the flights might get cheaper over time.

That’s your point of view and I respect it. I just find this interior color tacky!

The passenger doesn’t have a choice on the colour. Having a yellow interior isn’t “cheap”, it matches the airlines colours, and they’ve obviously spent money on having their interiors this colour.

Being a “cheap” airline doesn’t mean that the passengers has to stand this naughty yellow right in their face.

About the safety cards , it’s not a bad idea in term safety.

You get what you pay for – from some of the reactions to Ryanair on this board, you’d think you were paying hundreds of pounds for a ticket.

They must be doing something right to be growing at the rate they are, so they’re clearly not getting “worse and worse”.

I think it is a very good idea, safety is the most important aspect of airline operations, at least this way it is in yr face. how many people actually read the safety card in the seat pocket?

A practical idea but it looks very tacky, emulated by the terrible yellow interior. You might say it is a novel idea for an in-flight entertainment system.

I give it a thumbs up. In the time of need any passenger only has to look up and refresh their memory of the procedures. As we know, some folks like to take the safety cards which doesn’t help. This trend will kill the collectors pasttime but a small price to pay.

Yep! have to agree, Safety is paramount so I like the idea!
