Well said Robmac 😎
Nothings ever definate until it happens and these things get blown out of all proportion. Until such time as we are told otherwise, Classic Aviation Projects and WK163 arn’t going anywhere.

Chris

Air Atlantique
.K Frog. I am very interested in your research on Staverton and Skyfame. I Used to spot aircaft there as a young lad during the War and I started my flying career there in 1946, flew from there for twenty-five years, had my own flying school and was one of Skyfame’s pilots.

I think from what I’ve heard from our counterparts down the road, Mike Collett has mentioned this before as a possiblity, which then becomes a rumour, that then turns into concrete evidence that no one is really sure about as being definate!! You get my drift?
Until an official press release has been given by Mike to Flypast or Aeroplane magazine lets just say that they will remain at Coventry.

Wasn’t part of the Air Atlantique collection going to Kemble in a loose association with Delta Jets to form an exhibition that the public could view? Perhaps that has gone on hold with the rumours about Kemble’s future.

Heard from ‘a mate’ that it is indeed true….Although when it will happen is anyone’s guess 😀

You could always try asking them, they seem very approachable.

That was ther inital report, Steve but since then they have decided it IS worth while getting her airworthy again after all! 😎

Yes G-LOSM was in 141 Squadron markings for a while. Black bars white diamonds to be precise.

That’s brilliant news.
Mike & his crazy gang get my vote for Total Aviation People of 2004!
Errr…
Assuming we are talking Meteor NF-11 G-LOSM, it was in 141 Sqn colours white bars, black chevrons (from memory…) I’m a bit out of touch on this one. So many Warbirds, so little time…
A lovely plane. Always wanted a go, but y’know – wouln’t fancy fighting the Russians at night in one. (Or come to that even the Germans in W.W.II; although it was a generation or two on from there…)
Cheers

Damien – I should have known the Chippy ! It is G-APLO ‘WD379’

Very good news, quite a fleet Air Atlantique have got there!
By: David Burke - 24th February 2004 at 18:17
Damien – the Auster is G-JAYI I think from memory which they have had for quite a few years and the Proctor is the ex Sandy Topen MK.V which is on rebuild near Breighton .

Regards the Venom, Air Atlantique acquired G-GONE from Gower Jets late last year. I think it’s been re-registered G-DHVM as a result.
