Hi,
i was watching the highlights of todays Cricket action on TV and they showed Concorde flying over the ground. it was heart warming to see that the entire crowd stood up, and applauded the aircraft, and play was momentarily stopped so all the cricketers could watch it as well. Does this always happen when it flies over? this also proves that many people will be sad to see the beauty depart from the skies!
thanks,
adam

They showed it coming in during the Lord’s test, too, and I’m sure I saw her once or twice during Wimbledon, too.

I saw it as well, glad the programme director appreciated the universal interest the general public and aviation entusiasts alike have in this fantastic machine! 🙂

Yes I saw that too. I thought it was very fitting bearing in mind it’s probably the last time the cricket cameras will ever show it from the Oval.
