Which is something you havent seen or would like to see again in an issue of Airliner World?

I would have to agree with those in favour of regional airports , they may be small be in many cases the type of aircraft using them is diverse. This could also apply to european countries also .
Comments made regarding lesser known countries and what type of aircraft they use would also be interesting.
Regards
AW

I’d like to see a feature on Dresden Airport and some of the smaller regional airports in Europe such as Blackpool.

They have a small editorial on the current issue.

Less UK charter coverage, more airports and an issue, or series, on starting an airline from the groud up. More continental Europe coverage as a lot seems to be happening there.
Also, perhaps a special on Air India.
An editorial would be cool as well.

yeah, but Flight, being weekly, has an advantage over AW when it comes to reviews and stuff…Anyway, Flight is more for people in the industry, with thorough technical baseknowledge, AW is more to keep the guy on Street up to date with what’s happening.
True there are subcategories in the market and if you want a different aspect then you have other choices. However, I would still like to see some thorough analysis rather than just the basic information, which is appreciated when looking at certain issues by even people who are outside the industry.

Yes that would be worth a look, there’s precious liitle evidence on the forums as to whether or not the magazine takes any interest in any of our discussions.Of course detaching the magazine names from the forum names seems a little odd or am I going loco ?
I don’t think you are. I think Key may have been surprised at the way in which the fora have grown and the depth of knowledge which is displayed. Sometimes I think the discussions on all the boards spread well outside the remit of the publications without going totally off topic. As some of the discussions can get very heated it may be a smart move to disassociate the names of the mgazines from those of the forums thereby allowing us to express ourselves freely without bringing the publications into disrepute.
As to what I’d like to see in Airliner World I’d agree with Vic about reports on Regional airports. Perhaps also a spotters/photographers guide to British airports.

Less on UK airlines, it gets repetitive reading about charter airlines and their operations or a new low cost carrier.
More on other European airlines, I have read few articles on airlines such as Iberia, TAP, Aer Lingus etc. This should also count for other regions of the world such as North America where I think there is a lack of coverage.
More in depth detail maybe looking more into the business aspect of an airline/airport/manufacturer as suggested by the UA example. Maybe something similar to the appearance and writing Flight International publishes.

I am speaking from the point of view of my Belgian friends (and myself) here. I was in a Belgian aviation chatroom on Friday and we were discussing “Airliner World”, and the feedback was that not enough coverage is given to Belgian airlines and airports, only in the columns on the news pages, I was told. My Belgian friend doesn’t post on here, but those were his views and I agree with them. We see alot about other European countries and America, so something about Belgium would be nice.

I think the magazine should talk about the views of the forum on particular subjects.
