Just watching the local BBC south news and Redhill is once again on the agenda for airport expansion. They say it could be in operation in 5 years for low cost and charter flights with a railway link to Gatwick.
Seems an awfull waste of a small airfield in allready congested airspace. The govenment/media seem to ignore all the fields with runways allready in place. What about Bigin Hill, Northolt, hatfield,North Weald, Farnborough etc? Talking of Farnborough can we have easyjet move in so I can walk to the airport for cheap flights?
What are your feelings on futre airports?

prpbably just a ploy to divert people away from the 2nd LGW runway debate for a while… can’t see it being feasible.. for instance i’d have thourght too close to LGW and on same/similar heading for ILS to work…dunno… and as mr A330 mentionned theres other places that are already more developed and have capacity…
they should try expanding places like Humberside, Manchester etc.. not everyone who goes on holiday lives in the South East!!!

Wow! This I would like to see. But yes its a waste of time in terms of money and labour.
FAB or BQH would be a better bet if a larger airport is needed… FAB more so because the runway is bigger anyway than BQH.
