(special message for Greekdude1, you have seen this pics already, just read on for the announcement)
Hello everyone,
you recall that a few weeks ago I posted a pick of the 7E7 that I made at the Paris Air Show? And that I promised to post more. Here they are. Before you start wondering “Didn’t we already decide the plane was but-ugly, why post some more pics?”, you’re right. We did decide the plane looked rather… how shall I put it mildly… unique. But there is another, somewhat of topic, announcement.
I HAVE GRADUATED FOR MY EXAMS… NO MORE SCHOOLS FOR ME
This is probably something for the non-av board but I do not want this joyous news to be announced in a war zone. If anyone could move the thread about Guantanamo Bay to where it belongs (the non-av at a.net) I’d be all in favour.
Okay, back to the aviation now. Enjoy the pics while you can. In two months the plane design will probably have been modified again.

Hand, if the cabin’s 76 cm wider than the 767, I sincerley hope it IS twin aisle…
By: Hand87_5 - 11th July 2003 at 15:14
Is it single aisle or double ?

Hey there great pics mate how did you get those?
This model was displayed at the Paris Air Show. It was quite large, 1.0 or 1.5 meters or something like that. Getting close enough was therefore not much of a problem.

Is the 7E7 narrow or wide bodied?
There is a graph comparing the width of the B767 with the B7E7 (as it is proposed now) in the Flight International of 10-16 June 2003. That’s the special Paris Air Show edition.
According to this graph the BE7 has a slightly wider cabin. The wingspan is quite a lot larger. The B767 has a wingspan of 47.6m/156.1ft, the B7E7 will have a wingspan of 57.3m/187.9ft. The cabin will be, “measured at 1.27m (4.2ft) height level […]730mm more width than the B767 and 340mm more than the A330” (quote from FI). That would clearly make it a widebody.
How this would be a replacement for the B737, as has once been suggested, is anyone’s guess. Unless they want to have two versions like the B757/B767 combo.

How big is this thing supposed to be?
Well, its supposed to replace the B757/B767 and the A300/A310 and (Boeing hopes) the A330. Therefore the plane will be about that size.

i want to know what its capable of doing to beat Airbus in the market hold
We won’t know for quite a while to come. At the moment the specs are still being negotiated. Therefore what they are writing about range, precise number of seats, cargo capacity is still speculation.
!!! OH, AND I GRADUATED FROM SCHOOL !!!

Is the 7E7 narrow or wide bodied?
Is it replacing both the 757 and 767 or just one of this series?
Love the design by the way though whats the betting the finished product won’t look like that!

I think it’s a rather neat looking design.
I bet it will have pretty good cruise performance, but that’s only judging by looks. Who knows I guess.
The first picture (before I saw the tail unit and wings) made me go “Another 777 is all it appears to be to me.” Then I saw the other parts.
A unique, yet in my opinion, elegant design.
How big is this thing supposed to be?
