Just heard the news about the minibus crash on the way to Manchester Airport this morning.
7 people have been killed on the Britannia Country House Shuttle to the airport this morning (around 5.40). This is particularly hitting me, as four weeks ago to the day, to the hour, I was on the 5.30 shuttle from that hotel to the airport when I went to Mexico.
My heart goes out to the holidaymakers involved.

just heard a young lad has been orphaned – mum, dad, and sister killed – very dkistubing, i feel really sorry for the kid, how can you ever get over something like that 🙁

You echo my feelings exactly Pembo. I stayed in that hotel and used that shuttle minibus back in September 2001 when I flew from Manchester to Brussels. It is a terrible tragedy and my sympathy goes out to the injured and the bereaved.
