A Concorde story from today's paper.

I thought I’d scan in this article from today’s (Scottish) Daily Record.

The text in case you can’t make it out is… “THE swan of the skies looks more like an ugly duckling as it sits broken on the runway. But it’s not the end of the road entirely for this Concorde.

The wing tips and tail have been removed so this Air France icon can be shipped down the Rhine by pontoon to it’s final destination.

Once at the air museum in Sinsheim, southern Germany, the missing bits will be put back on and Concorde will, once again be a very fine swan indeed.”

Now now, Bhoy I didn’t buy the Record to read I was needing something to line the cat’s litter trays late last night. 😀

Here’s some pictures of it’s delivery flight.

It seems that the museum isn’t at the airport so it was flown in and has to be dismantled to get to the museum.

I’m suprised they just didn’t fly each Concorde to it’s final destination. That would be a great send off.
