According to unconfirmed rumours, Easyjet will enter the LBA-Belfast route in September. After Ryanair, Jet2 and PlanetAir,
Easyjet would be the 4th low cost operator with scheduled services from LBA.
If easyjet did indeed open operations into Leeds the possablilty of them operating a LBA-LGW or LTN route would be excellent news after LGW been dropped during last years BA Citiexpress withdrawel of operations from Leeds. The route was previous;y JS41 operated
Jet2 have also been rumoured on this route, but nothing more has been heard. FlyBE currently fly the Belfast City run with a mix of Dash 8-300s, 400s, BAe 146-2/300s or CRJ.
Another lo-cost expected route from here is either Ryanair or Jet2 to Knock, Ireland which Ryanair did previously operate with BAC1-11 a/c as well as 2 more announcements by Jet2 for the winter

Some good new for LBA, keeping an eye on the new routes now for my future visits!
On the subject of easyjet, I’ve just had an e-mail through on the EMA group, rumour is they will base a 4th aircraft with Athens as a new route. Certainly sounds interesting.

Considering off the top of my head Easyjet fly from BFS to Liverpool (8x!), Newcastle, Luton, Gatwick, East Mids, Bristol, Glasgow and Edinburgh off the top of my head if Jet2 dont pick it up, it’d be nice to see easy do so.
LBA is a primary Easy divert field for LIV. Examples include 4 diverting a/c when the BA ATP landed with a main gear up at LPL, and the MD83 Spanair incident where again several easyjet a/c diverted in over Manchester. They were very happy with the service they got. Shame there was a **** up when the bmibaby diverted in feb – the a/c got 8 diverts in about an hour, and the baby been the last inbound a/c was left “coachless!”
