Well I finally got down to Heathrow yesterday, spending up until 3 in the visitors centre (While it rained) and then moving over to Hatton Cross when they changed landings to 27L.
I had Concorde -AE landing over the top of me, albeit 1 hour late, and was continually deafened 5 minutes after she had shut down by the car alarm next to me!
I then wandered across to the end of 27R only to find the road blocked. Oh damn I’m going to miss concorde I said as this BA 747 trundles past, 10 metres in front of me across the road. My first time seeing those gates open, and the barriers were stuck up, meaning there was nothing seperating me from G-BNLL!
After Concorde failed to show I made my way back home, however driving down the perimeter road in the bus, guess who blasted off next to me 1 and a half hours late – yes, concorde this time -AD. My best Heathrow experience ever, also supplemented by these interesting a/c I clocked too:

Ah right OK thanks. We were so mesmerized by the new colour scheme that we didn’t look to identify the actual type of aircraft!

Yeah 3 Sp’s in one day is a very good result. If the the Syrian Sp came in too while you were there, that would have been the icing on the cake. 🙂
The new Gulf Air 340 is a 300 series, its ex Singapore.

I’ve never seen so many SP’s in my life!
Unfortunatley no pictures, I’ve yet to delve into that side of the hobby yet!

I’m glad you enjoyed it. I got home last night as Concorde shot over at about 8.15pm and commented on it’s late departure.
Did you get any photographs?
