Well folks, its holiday time for me now.
I’m off to Mexico on Thursday and will be flying on my first 767! I can’t believe after about 60 flights I still haven’t been on a 767, so fingers crossed it should be a pleasant experience. I’m certainly looking forward to sitting in the 2-4-2 config, because, when travelling as a couple, its much more relaxing when you only have to get past Mrs Pembo330 to have a wonder to the loo.
So, I’ll see you all when I get back and I promise to write a full flight report.
Adios Amigos!
🙂 😀 🙂

I’ve been on two 767s, both of Air New Zealand – an 8 hour 20 minute flight between Auckland and Honolulu and a five hours five minute flight between Honolulu and Los Angeles. The type is okay, especially when you are in a window seat and there is only one other seat next to you, much better for two people travelling together I think.

I think the 767-200 can only be described as “obese”. It’s a widebodied aircraft but not very long, so it’s slightly out of proportion.
But the 767-300, great aircraft, in my opinion it is the best aircraft flying today! Like EGNM said, probably because I’ve flown it a lot (more than any other aircraft in fact).

I like the -200, as well. Yes Michael, UA’s 767’s are in a 2-3-2 format.

i do have to hold my hands up and stick up for the -200, i dunno if its cos i’ve flown it a fair few times, and theres the Leeds based example but i do like it better than the -300!

Thanks Andrew,
Very classy!

I agree, Andrew. The 767-300 is definitely the best out of the three series. And it looks best in the British Airways colour scheme.

I went on one of the BY767-200’s a while back, but didn’t like it really, the 763 was better IMO.
I have never really liked the 762, its very fat looking! :p

Ive only been on one 767 back in 1994 on Britannia was a 200 series 2-4-2

Strange how seating configurations vary from airline to airline. United have a 2-5-2 configuration in their economy cabins of the 777 and just 2-3-2 as far as I can recall on the 767-300s.
Anyway, wishing you a great trip, Pembo!

Doesn’t always follow – Emirates squeeze 3-4-3 in their 777’s. BA have 3-3-3 by contrast.
Then again EK probably have better legroom than BA (only 31 inches) so it’s horses for courses.

It must be charter for 2-4-2, my experiences on the 767 are 2-3-2
