I'm Going!

Yesssss!!! 😀 Im booked on the BA747 flight to the Fairford airshow on the 20th July! How cool is that, flying to an airshow, and actually being part of it. By being part of it I mean, the actual air displays dont finish until 6:30pm and my flight leaves at 6:15pm, so the 747 is sorta in the show. 😀 lol :p

The thing that im most excited about is that, your seats are allocated on arrival… the woman on the phone said seats will be first come first serve… so surely if I get there early enough, and the flight wont have loads of VIP’s on it, I may just get a Business class or first class seat?

Can anyone tell me of the layout in a BA747?

Cheers!

and finally…

World Traveller. Apologies again for a less than perfect seat plan, but I hope it helps.

Just a thought… I know it’s not where you would normally choose to sit, but if you want to sense the scale of a 747, and how it moves in-flight, the very back row of the main deck might be a good place to sit. Also gives you a chance to have a quick look around as you make your way to and from your seat. (Boarding will probably be through doors 1 left and 2 left).

New cabins

Andrew,

As the 747’s now all have the new Club World and World Traveller Plus cabins the layouts above are no longer correct.

If I can get an up to date layout for you I’ll post it.

Have a great time,

1L.

If I were you I’d try to sit at the front of the main deck as the narrowing of the fuselage towards the nose gives you a slightly forward view.

Thanks Steve.

Well anywhere on the upper deck or from rows 1-12 on the lower deck would make me a happy bunny!!! 😛
