Varig had replaced their MD-11 with a 777 on the LHR routes, but they reverted back after their 777 was reposessed. Not at all an inducement to fly with Varig!

Thai still operates some of it’s MD-11s on European routes, however, the UK only sees the 747s.

UPS leases them during peak seasons (mainly X-mas), but they are not a mainstay in their fleet.

Hey, they must be one of the only airlines to still fly the MD-11 now.Swiss want to replace theirs, Deltas are being retired – how about Finnair and Thai?
Finnair still uses MD 11s as its long-haul mainstay…..Thai also still use it but they will be fased out very soon.

Kastrup is a great airport and Mongu dont forget that JAL still operate them, there seem to be more DC10 in use than MD11’s
