Cheers Guys,
What A Delay 13 and a half hours late!
Stupid Passenger but MyTravel Do Seem To Get Delayed more than any other airline from LBA or is that just me?
Also they didnt seem to get delayed as much when they used A320s as opposed to the older 757s.

cheers for that – just poste dit on the Leeds newsgroup. As the passengers theoretically missed approx 11/12 hours of their trip (in incoming pax arrived 13 and a bit hours later), i’m sure this cup has cost MyTravel a lot of money is bussing pax and paying for compensation claims if any?

The LCA passengers were sent by bus over to MAN and the flight went on the DC10-10.The problem yesterday was some idiot had flushed a cup down one of the toilets and it blocked the whole system up.Apparently its just a maze of pipes and it took forever to find the blockage. At the moment the a/c are being changed over at least once a week. The main problem is one delay has a knock on effect as the aircraft does not have that much ground time spare.Wed and Thur nights i think so it can be hard to catch up.

yep, it was gonna take 6 hours to fix as far as i know, hence the transfer of pax. I presume they’ve done an a/c swap, i.e. 2 757 part loads onto a DC-10, and perhaps a halful DC-10 onto the manchy based 752. At least it means our a/c can go back on routine.

To be fair tho the a/c if flying each day from abou 7pm to 4am so i expect problems to occur, and don’t understand why MYT don’t keep swapping more regularly to conduct more maintainance on them, and cut down these delays
