BEECH BACKGROUND
The most familiar guise for G-BKGM on the British airshow circuit: in South-East Asia Command camouflage as ‘HB275’. BEN DUNNELL One of only two airworthy Beech 18s currently registered in the UK, this example — a 3NM model — was built in Wichita, Kansas, during 1952 for the Royal Canadian Air Force as a navigational trainer. After 10 years’ RCAF service it was disposed of to Canadian operator Capital Air Surveys and registered CF-SUQ. The Beech was retired from photomapping
