UPGRADED RAAF C-130J UNDER TEST
WORLD THE ROYAL AUSTRALIAN Air Force (RAAF) has upgraded a single C-130J Hercules, A97-448, to explore future air mobility capabilities under Plan Jericho, which aims to transform the air force’s use of fifth-generation and information technologies. The Jericho Demonstrator has been configured to test a range of upgrades including a Ka-band satellite communications (SATCOM) antenna, external fuel tanks to increase range/loiter and fuel offload, and other advancements to crew awareness and survivability.
