LIGHTNINGS INTO COMBAT

HEADLINES USAF DEPLOYS F-35A TO OPERATION ‘INHERENT RESOLVE’ SIX F-35As FROM the 388th Fighter Wing’s 4th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron (EFS) ‘Fightin’ Fuujins’ arrived at Morón Air Base, Spain, on April 12, using the callsigns ‘Trend 41-46’. The aircraft then continued onwards to Al Dhafra, United Arab Emirates, arriving on the evening of April 15. A further four jets arrived at Morón as the first group touched down in the Middle East for the first combat deployment for the USAF F-35A.
