UPGRADED JAYHAWK FLIES
FIELD AEROSPACE CARRIED out the first flight of a USAF T-1A upgraded with a modernized flight deck on March 22. The Jayhawk, which is configured for training combat systems officers (CSO), conducted two consecutive check flights from the contractor’s facility at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Field was awarded the $155.7-million contract to modernize the USAF’s feet of 178 T-1As in February 2018 and work on a prototype began in August. It will also modify 30 training
