Mirage on the move to Yorkshire
The shrink-wrapped Mirage IV just about to leave Châteaudun on 27 March. YAM ON 27 March, Dassault Mirage IVA 45/BR began its long-awaited road trip from Base Aérienne 279 Châteaudun, south-west of Paris, to the Yorkshire Air Museum (YAM) at Elvington near York. The nuclear-capable strike aircraft — previously displayed at the Cité des Sciences in Paris — was gifted to the museum by the French government, the move being the culmination of nearly a decade of negotiation and work
