MILES BOXKITE REPLICAS When three Bristol Boxkite replicas were needed at short notice for the filming of Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines, asking George Miles in a Christmas card turned out to be the ideal answer. One, of course, still flies with the Shuttleworth Collection — but what of the other two? A sight familiar to visitors to Shuttleworth Collection events 55 years after the release of ‘Mag Men’. The Boxkite wore race number 7 for the film.
