Austrian Eurofighters debut in Germany
SEVEN EUROFIGHTER EF2000s of the Luftstreitkräfte’s (Austrian Air Force’s) Überwachungsgeschwader (Surveillance Wing) arrived at Wittmund air base, northern Germany on April 27. Once there, the detachment – which amounted to almost half the Austrian Eurofighter fleet – undertook two weeks of live gunnery training with the help of the resident Discovery Air Defence Services A-4N Skyhawks.
