New Britten-Norman Islanders for the Falkland Islands
The Falkland Islands Government has signed a letter of intent with Britten-Norman for the purchase of four new BN2B-26 Islanders. The Falkland Islands Government Aviation Service (FIGAS) will operate the new quartet for a variety of missions around the islands in the South Atlantic. The Islanders are additional airframes to the two BN-2Bs the Falkland Islands Government previously contracted Britten-Norman to provide. The first of these aircraft is already in service.
