Sea Venom arrives at Bruntingthorpe

The Leicestershire-based jet collection has received a de Havilland Sea Venom

De Havilland Sea Venom FAW.21 WM571 was delivered to Bruntingthorpe’s Classic British Jet Collection (CBJC) on June 27. It has previously been at Bournemouth Aviation Museum.

CBJC boss Dave Thomas said: “I’ve been after this aircraft for five years and my team are going to begin a restoration of the airframe to running condition.” Dave added that the ongoing contribution and support of Dave Walton and his family have been pivotal to preserving this and other airframes in active state at the Leicestershire base. Dave’s also keen to research his new acquisition’s history and would welcome any information or images along with manuals and sources of spares. If you can help, you can email the team: mrhunterwt806@outlook.com With thanks to Darren Harbar
