Virgin Australia opts for Embraer E2s
Virgin Australia has placed a firm order with Embraer for eight E190-E2s as part of its fleet renewal plan, which will secure its Perth-based regional and charter business, Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA).The aircraft will be configured in a two-two layout, with deliveries scheduled for the second half of 2025.The order will complement the airline’s existing seven Airbus A320-200s and replace the three, 100-seat, Fokker 100s, which were acquired in 2013 and are now more than 30 years old.
