RAF Wedgetail Completes First Flight
The initial Boeing E-7 Wedgetail airborne early warning and control aircraft for the Royal Air Force (RAF) has successfully completed its maiden flight. The flight, conducted on September 20, 2024, tested the flying control, engine and avionics systems of the new aircraft, which is designed to work as an airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) platform.
