Canadian Lancaster on loan to new museum
The National Air Museum of Canada (NAMC) has loaned Avro Lancaster B.X KB882 to the evolving Base31 museum at Picton, Ontario. Staff at the Trenton-based NAMC have meticulously restored the Lancaster over the last seven years. Re-assembled within one of Picton’s World War Two-era hangars, KB882 was unveiled on June 27 in front of 400 invited guests. The hangar was open to the public for the following four days only – the museum will not open fully until 2025. KB882
