Restoration awaits Australian C-47
Australia’s Historical Aircraft Restoration Society is to restore Douglas C-47A Dakota 43-48234 The former USAAF aircraft was acquired by HARS last year, with the majority of the airframe arriving at the society’s Parkes, New South Wales site earlier this year. Wings and engines – currently at HARS’ Albion Park site – will be added to the exhibit, which will then be repainted.
