Former OFMC P-40E Kittyhawk flies in Australia

Curtiss P-40E Kittyhawk 41-25158 which many readers will remember from its days in the UK with the Old Flying Machine Company’s (OFMC) Breitling Fighters team when it was frequently flown by Ray Hanna, has now been delivered to a new owner in Australia.

Following its time in the UK, it was converted to two-seat configuration and flew in New Zealand for a while as ZK-RMH before entering storage. Now registered as VH-AK4, new owner Andrew Kennedy flew it for the first time on April 24 this year.

Andrew is also forming plans for the future operation of this distinctive warbird. “We will do a limited number of public displays each year and there are no immediate plans to change the paint scheme,” he said.
