First-ever Ramstein 1v1 fighter exercise
Fourth and fifth-generation fighter aircraft from nine NATO countries recently participated in a basic fighter manoeuvres (BFM) exercise at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.The Ramstein 1v1 exercise on June 6, 2024 saw fighter pilots from nine Allied countries undertake one-versus-one (1-v-1) BFM scenarios.Thirty-seven fighters were involved comprising F-35A Lightning IIs, F-16 Fighting Falcons, Eurofighter Typhoons, Dassault Rafales and F/A-18 Hornets.
