Vans RV-8 takes flight in Microsoft Flight Simulator

Terrainy Studios has announced the Vans RV-8 for Microsoft Flight Simulator is now available.

Developed by Van’s Aircraft the single-engine RV-8 is the fastest aircraft in the RV lineup, boasting a top speed of over 190 knots and a range of over 680 miles. It complies with the FAA Aerobatics certification of +6/-3Gs while sporting a fully equipped IFR cockpit, enabling you to fly in most weather conditions.

The package from Terrainy Studios features high-resolution 4K PBR (Physically Based Rendering) textures along with an authentic flight model with realistic taildragger behaviour developed with the help of actual RV-8 pilots.

Other highlights include working circuit breakers, a dynamic fuel level in the tanks with a visible level and adjustable 3D lighting. Inside, it is equipped with IFR-capable avionics with options for Asobo G430 or the GTN650 by PMS50.
