Moreover, a new 'Experimental' section has been added, allowing secondary windows to be added to enlarge the field of view when using multiple monitors or enabling low power mode, etc.
For the weather engine, a new cloud layer system has been implemented at low altitudes to better reflect the cloud base and thickness close to the ground. The weather system also more accurately interpolates local weather at airports with METAR data with regional weather resulting in a more seamless transition. Wind gusts are now modelled in Live Weather along with various other fixes such fixes to dynamic pressure modelling, turbulence and downdrafts.

The VFR map has several quality-of-life updates, such as an ident search bar for finding specific navaids or airports and display data such as ILS frequency and course.
Working Title's G1000 NXi is now the default G1000 in MFS, adding several new features: VNAV guidance, procedure turns, holds, arc legs, visual approaches and full RNAV capability. The G1000 NXi also has an improved weather radar and radio altimeter, a more realistic autopilot and flight planning functions such as the ability to edit altitude restrictions, etc.

The default aircraft continue to be improved with every sim update. This time, F/A-18E/F Super Hornet has a new HMD (Helmet-Mounted Display), and all the airliners have received minor fixes, such as improved ground effect and a clean-up of the glide slope code.

Moreover, the general aviation fleet has also seen some bug fixes such as improved animations, ground handling in crosswinds, better glideslope modelling and fixes to the lighting, avionics and autopilot. Finally, the Darkstar has updated textures fixes with added weathering in the cockpit and improved internal and external lighting.

Finally, the Software Development Kit (SDK) continues to be updated as well as the various development tools for scenery, aircraft and project editors, providing additional functionality for developers. The encryption of CFG files for premium and deluxe aircraft has also been removed so the community can now modify these aircraft.
