The new measures have been introduced as passenger traffic continues to rise

Prague Airport has revealed plans to reinforce passenger checks upon arrival as traffic continues to increase at the hub.

Working in conjunction with the Foreign Police of the Czech Republic and the Customs Administration, the capital’s hub is set to change the regulations for those entering through the site from today (September 1).

The new measures plan to allow more travellers to enter the capital for tourism reasons, although they must now be fully vaccinated and hold proof with valid documentation.

“We are coordinating the new model with representatives of the Ministry of Health and other security forces present at the airport,” said Jiri Kraus, vice-chairman of the Prague Airport board of directors. “We are also increasing our personnel capacity and reinforcing the technical equipment to speed up the entire check-in process on arrivals. Passengers can help accelerated the Czech arrival checks, too, by having reviewed the current conditions and prepared all documents in advance.”

Passengers will be inspected by staff at the airport, members of the police force and the customs administration upon arrival. This method is set to meet all conditions for entry into the country, as well as increase security.
