Airbus study reveals truth about commercial aviation safety

The rate of fatal crashes and hull losses is steadily decreasing over time and the number of aircraft accidents today is significantly lower than that of a comparable year in the previous decade, a new study by European aircraft manufacturer Airbus has found. In its latest Statistical Analysis of Commercial Aviation Accidents report – which covers all Western-built commercial air transport jets that carry more than 40 passengers – the airframer reports that in 2022, there were six commercial hull
