Local Legends 8: DHC-4 Caribou is based on the twin-engine, short take-off and landing (STOL) aircraft. It made its maiden flight in 1958 and was introduced into mainline services in the 1960s where it was primarily operated by the US military and also globally, where its rugged retractable tricycle undercarriage and full-span, double-slotted flaps made it ideally suited for operations on untreated strips.

The aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator was designed by Orbx and features an exterior model based on laser scans, a custom sound set and an authentic 3D cockpit with functional circuit breakers. It also sports a realistic flight model, which captures the STOL capabilities of the real aircraft.

The Caribou is available in the in-sim Marketplace for $14.99.
