The facility’s extension opened to the public on July 14, with Jet2 and TUI being the first to use it. The leisure carrier duo were then followed by Singapore Airlines, Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways, Brussels Airlines, airBaltic and Ethiopian Airlines.

The Greek operator is the ninth to fly from the new site, offering a thrice-weekly service to Athens.
Further airlines are expected to move across in the coming months.
