Refurbished An-32s return to Sri Lankan service

Three Sri Lankan Air Force (SLAF) Antonov An-32 (NATO reporting name: Cline) transport aircraft returned home on the evening of June 11 after completing an extensive overhaul and refurbishment process in the Ukraine. After their five-day journey home, covering 5,078 nautical miles and involving approximately 22 flying hours, the three An-32s and their respective crews were welcomed back to SLAF Base Katunayake in darkness with a traditional water cannon salute, followed by a brief ceremony.
