North American T-6 Harvard F-AZOJ has recently arrived at a new home Haguenau airfield in Alsace, France
Built under license in Canada as CCF4-384, it was initially delivered during the 1950s to the Italian Air Force but was earmarked for disposal following its military service. However, in the late 1980s it was rescued by Italian collector Franco Actis who began a restoration to flight programme. Acquiring the Italian registration I-RYGA, it successfully returned to the air on May 15, 1991.
Following stints in Switzerland and a second spell on the civil register in Italy, it was sold to new owner Georges Kern in France last year. With thanks to Eric Janssonne
