War colours for restored Spanish Jungmann

After lengthy refurbishment the newest aircraft of the Fundación Aeronáutica Antonio Quintana took to the air again in the expert hands of the organisation’s boss, José Luis Olías

The 1959-built CASA/Bucker 1.131-E has received a black and white colour scheme worn by the early Spanish Nationalist Bucker Jungmanns during the 1936 to 1939 Spanish Civil War. This Spanish-built aircraft - E.3B-534 (c/n 2124) – was one of the post-war Buckers in service with the Ejército del Aire, and was based at Armilla. After withdrawal from service in 1973 it flew on the civil register as EF-FSG. It now flies with the Fundación Aeronáutica Antonio Quintana (FAAQ, see FlyPast’s September 2020 issue)
