LYPG is located in one of the few flat areas in Montenegro and is one of the two international hubs in the country, serving the capital city of Podgorica. The airport has a challenging circle-to-land visual approach to Runway 18 and a VOR/NDB approach for Runway 36 that takes you over Lake Skadar at a low level.

Developed by Rasha Tucakov, the scenery is an up-to-date rendition of the actual airport, sporting detailed airside and landside areas, while the new all-glass and aluminium terminal features PBR (Physically Based Rendering) materials and interior modelling.

Other highlights include an accurate runway slope, dynamic lighting, AI integration and static aircraft. The airport and surrounding area features modified terrain and custom weather-influenced ground polygon with unique textures and markings.
