Air Algérie to fly Africa’s longest route
Intra-African connectivity is to receive a much-needed boost with the launch of the continent’s longest scheduled route. From September 21, Air Algérie is to link its base at Algiers/Houari Boumediene with Johannesburg/OR Tambo. The year-round service will operate twice-weekly, with outbound departures on Sunday and Thursday and return flights on Monday and Thursday. Flight numbers AH5360 and AH5361 have been assigned to the new connections, which will use Air Algérie’s Airbus A330s. At 4,014nm, this will become the longest scheduled
