AV-8B Harrier lands in Microsoft Flight Simulator

Aircraft developer DC Designs has announced its first vertical take-off aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator - the AV-8B Harrier II is out now.

AV-8B Harrier for Microsoft Flight Simulator

The Harrier is designed to be accessible to all users without the need for intense study while also providing a challenge for those who like to fly complex aircraft. The package features all three Harrier variants: AV-8B, AV-8B Plus and GR9 along with 12 liveries: Royal Air Force GR9s, US Marines AV-8Bs as well as Spanish and Italian Air Force paint schemes. Other highlights include a custom-coded vertical take-off and landing system built specifically for Microsoft Flight Simulator, authentic night lighting and slime lights for combat operations.

AV-8B for MSFS

The 3D cockpit sports an accurately modelled ejection seat, animated controls and 3D instruments. The MFDs (Multi-Function Displays) and a HUD (Head-Up Display) are custom coded based on actual Harrier displays. Other details include scratched canopy glass effects, pilot crew figures in the cockpit and interactive checklists. A full operations manual is also included along with a paint kit. The package is available on Just Flight's website for £24.99.
