In-flight emergency forces Top Aces A-4 to divert to RAF Lakenheath
A Top Aces A-4N Skyhawk declared an emergency and diverted into RAF Lakenheath on July 26 while acting as an adversary for the US Air Force’s 48th Fighter Wing. The Skyhawk, C-FGZE/495, had departed Nordholz Air Base in northern Germany and was working in the Danger Area 323 complex, which is mainly over the North Sea, when it encountered a problem.
