Texas MD-87 crash: What do we know so far?

A private McDonnell Douglas MD-87 overran the runway and burst into flames at Houston Executive Airport yesterday (October 19). The jet, N987AK (c/n 49404), is believed to have had 21 people on board comprising 18 passengers and three crew. All managed to evacuate safely, with only two people reporting injuries.
