Flug Werk FW 190 arrives in Turkey

A Flug Werk FW 190 A-8/N arrived at the MSÖ Air & Space Museum facility at the Sivrihisar Aviation Center in Eskisehir, north-western Turkey on 8 May following its acquisition by Ali İsmet Öztürk from Dan Kirkland in California. The fighter is currently painted in the markings of 101-victory Luftwaffe ace Josef ‘Pips’ Priller’s mount as it looked when he strafed Sword Beach on 6 June 1944, but it will soon be reconfigured to represent one of 72 examples of
