United invests in blended-wing body aircraft
On April 24, United announced an investment in blended-wing body (BWB) aircraft start-up JetZero, which is developing a pioneering design in commercial aviation with an aim to deliver fuel efficiency and enhance customer experience. The investment includes a potential path for United to purchase up to 200 of the new aircraft type. With the conditional purchase of up to 100 aircraft and an option for an additional 100 dependant on JetZero achieving development milestones, including flight of a full-scale demonstrator
