BBMF’s Merlin-powered Spitfires and Hurricanes cleared to fly
The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) released a statement this morning (March 14, 2025) announcing that its Merlin engine fighters have been cleared to return to flight for this year’s display season. Earlier today the BBMF’s Spitfire Mk XVI TE311 was airborne from the unit’s home at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire.
