There is perhaps more than a hint that the airfield management might have shot themselves in the foot during past years. For as long as I can remember, the airfield have been less that welcoming when called PPR.
It is just about three or so months ago that in response to my request, I managed to get my one and only permission to visit by air – at a landing fee of £18 for a light single. Thanks but no thanks.
Now they will struggle if they want to show evidence to the Local Authority that a thriving, vibrantly busy airfield faces closure.
